THE POOR MOTOR CYCLIST.

Sil - ,—How happy might we all be if we could go through life without interfering with others. In this, morning's issue, "W.M." complains of the dangerous practice of motor cyclists who take a passenger on the rear seat. He says they "scorch" along regardless of all and 6un<lry. I quite agree that "scorching" should not be allowed. But motor cyclists who do not carry passengers "scorch" more frequently than those with passengers. But coming to "W.M.'s" contentlon~as to carrying a passenger on the rear seat. I cannot afford to buy a motor-oar, and what is it to do with "W.M." if I chooso to take my wife for a spin on my motor cycle I will now ask him why he does not interfere and try to stop U9 all lrom having a dip in the briny ? It is dangerous at times, aud many . have been drowned; also, accidents have occurred at football and hockey. Surely all these games should. be stopped, for they are dangerous. An accident might easily happen. If an accident occurs to a motor cyclist and his passenger, that is their own lookout, just ua much as if they were having a swim or playing football. If "W.M." thinks motor cycling with a passenger is dangerous, ho is quite entitled to his opinion. There is a risk, certainly; but let him not foTget that he is quito at. liberty to refrain from taking the risk. 1 ask hifm to think it over.—l am, etc., ONE WHO DUES NOT INTEIIFERI;, WITH THE ENJOYMENT OF OI'KERS.
