NEW ZEALAND CONTROL MEETS. A meeting of tho Council of the New Zealand Football. Association .was held last evening, Mr. H. M'Kcowen presiding. Tho following were also present:— Messrs. W. J. EL Reynolds (Poverty Bay), E. Hutcheson (Marlborough), T. Gilbert (Buller), F. O'Connell (Wellington), A. C. Kerr (treasurer), and B. L. Salmon (secretary). ' . It was mentioned that the Canterbury Association had 18 and tho Otago Association 25 schools' teams affiliated this season..,-.'■ The secretary of tho Buller Association, wrote stating that on account of-the war it had been found necessary to abandon all football games in his district this, year. It was resolved that the Buller representative should retain his seat on the council for tho coming season. It was decided to forward a letter of condolence to Mr. T. M'Laren, . Auck-, laud's delegate, in respect of the. death of his father. , v The secretary (Mr. B. L. Salmon) reported that the balance-sheet would show, a credit balance of about £15 this season. Eulogistic reference was made to the excellent work performed by tho secretary (Mr. B. L. Salmon) during pa6t years. Every dolegate present had a few words to say concerning Mr. Salmon's work in the interests of tho game. v
