THE SYDNEY BOAT. The Manuka, from Sydney, is not expected to arrive here until about 9 o'clock this evening. She will remain in the stream during the night, and will bei;th. nrst thing on Wednesday morning. The Manuka has 189 passengers on board, and will discharge 960 tons of cargo. The vessel will remain at Wellington until her departure for Sydney at 5 p.m. on Thursday. THE KAURI FROM 'FR-ISCO. The Union Company's freighter Kauri arrived at Auckland from f-an Francisco, via Suva, yesterday, ft is expected that the vessel will leave the northern port on Wednesday, and she should show up here on Friday night. The Kauri had 2620 tons of cargo for Wellington, including 37,000 cases of oil. THE RUAPEHU. The Rudpclru is expected to leave Sydney on Thursday. June 22; in continuation of her journey from Liverpool to Australian and New Zealand ports.' She 6nould be at Auckland on Tuesday next, and is expected iu Wellington about July 4. COLLIERS DELAYED. Bad weather continues on the West Coast, and as a consequence the colliers loaded_ for Wellington ore still held up. The Kokiri and Karori are awaiting to clear Westport, while the Kitt.awa, Ngakuta, and Kini are at Greymouth. A telegram received yesterday afternoon stated that tlio Westport and Greymouth bars were still bad and impossible for shipping. The vessels are not expected to arrive until to-morrow. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. P. Isbister, third officer of the Tarawera, has come ashore. Mr. o. A. Preston, third engineer of the Mararoa, has come ashore, his place bom;; taken by Mr. A. E. Fallwcli, late second of the Karnmu. Mr. H. W. Robinson re-" joins the Karamu as second engineer. Mr. D. ilalioch, second engineer of thD Moana, who has been on holiday Icovh, rejoined the vessel yesterday. Mr. F. F. Naismith, who has beeii relieving, came ashore for orders. Ikr. J. Hunter, third engineer ol the Moaria, is to' sign off that vessel. Mr. F. F. lull, lute acting sccond of the Poherua, will join the ship in Mr. Hunter's place. The Te Anau is expected in port for bunkers on Thursday. She will probably continue her journey north the same day. The Monowai, due from northern ports this morning, has 363 tons of cargo to diecharge at this port. She will proceed on to Lyttelton and Dunedin this evening. " On account of the shortage of labour it was found, impossible to dispatch the Oropnlti for Nelson and Tcrnkohe yesterday. She is scheduled to get awov to-day. There will be a meeting of the Waterside Workers' Union this evening. Owing to bad weather, the Cygnet will not put in an appearance until to-mor-row. Her time of departure for ICaikourh, and Lyttelton is consequently postponed until 7 p.m. on Thursday. The Kahika is expected to leave port at noon to-day for Wellington. The 0. and D. liner Port llardy arrived in port early yesterday morning from New York, via. Auckland. The liuor berthed at the Queen's Wharf No. 1 south to discharge her general cargo. It is expected to dispatch her south probably tomorrow.
Owing to belated coaling operations tlio ttinemoa is not now expcctcd until about noon on Thursday. She will then load for Cook Strait lighthouses, and on return to Wellington • will leave on a visit to the southern lighthouses. :
The Alexander is to go on the Patent Slip to-day, and is expected to leave for N-elson and Coast to-morrow.afternoon.
