A STREET MELEE
DEFIANT PROCESSION

London, June 19. A disturbance occurred in Dublin when a procession of two thovssand individuals, carrying tlio "Republican l''lag," marched through the principal streets from the church where the Requiem Mass for the dead rebels had been held. The procession cheered for the "Irish ltepublic" and groaned as they passed the sentries at Dublin Castle and the Bank of Ireland.
The police intercepted them in Westmoreland Street arid endeavoured to seize the flags. This those in the procession l'esented,' and a rneleo resulted, in vyiiich a constable's ear was split, while others were roughly handled. Tho police retained a number of the flags; and arrested six individuals. Tho remainder continued along Sackville Street, and halted at the post office, cheering. They aftervfards dispersed along Bolton, Street. . ■ THE NEW RULE IN IRELAND BELFAST NATIONALISTS' ATTITUDE (Rec. June 19; 0,20 p.m;) London, Juno 19. The Irish Nationalists' representatives from the six Ulster counties will discuss Mr. Lloyd George's proposals on Friday. A meeting of the Belfast Nationalists passed a resolution of confidence in Mr. Redmond and the Irish Party, and also pledged itself to stand by Air. Devlin in any courso he deemed advisable to settlo the Irish question; further, tho meeting thought that Mr'. Lloyd. George's proposals afforded a basis for a provisional settlement.
