Requests for the nationalisation of the'hospital service were liping made throughout the Dominion, and ho was watching the development of the proposal which appeared to arise out of the heavy levies called for by the enlargement of the functions of the Hospital Boards, The Minister stated that the medical inspection of schools should bo linked with the Public Health Department, so that children could obtain medical treatment, especially in " cases of incipient tuberculosis and .similar' diseases. He proposed to start a svstem of,dental in"Jrtion at schools. This would be taken up tentatively at first. He also intended to inaugurate research work in connection with cancer and infantile paralysis.
