A y.'M.CiA. demonstration will beheld in 'the large Town Hall on Friday night, when Mr. W. H. George, of Wellington, one of the .Y.M.C.A. Commissioners-who recently visited Egypt on behalf of the New. Zealand National Y.M.C.A. Council, will give some account of his yisit, illustrated by moving pictures taken d-ur-slides from photographs 'taken during his stay-there. About 2000 feet of Itinema film and'l2o slides will be shown, illustrating various phases of the early life of the men' at the front, the conditions under which they live, and the various methods adopted by the Y.M.C.A. to ameliorate the hardships and monotony of desert camp life, aud to combat the' insidious temptations awaiting the soldier the momest he sets foot in Egypt. The kincma iilrns brought out by Mr. (ieorge have never , been previously shown in New Zealand. Admission is free, but a collection will be taken up in aid of 'the widows and orphans of our Navy men lost in tho Jutland fight.
