BROOKLYN HARRIERS

On Saturday the above club held thellI 3-mile Sealed ■'Handicap Race at Seatoun. The course, trailed ■ by 1\ Wilton, led from the tunnel to Worser Bay, thence over the hill to Miramar Crossing, the football grounds to the gasometer, and on till tlie te'eatoun lioad was struck, thence homeward through the tunnel. At 3.30 the runners, to the number of 15, were got away by the starter, Miss Manley. On breasting the hill, M'Pherson was leading, with T. Collins and F, Cummins, all new runners, keeping up well. At the gasometer P. Harvey took the lead .to the tunnel, where ho' was passed by Boy Hoverd, who maintained his lead to the post, with P. Harvey second, and C. Dentice third. On open, ing up the sealed handicaps it was found that .C. Dentico was placed first, R. Hoverd second, and C. A. Willis third. A trophy, presented by P. Wilton for a Motley Handicap, was won by H. Bull. The Harriers afterwards entertained tho supporters, mostly ladies, who numbered about fifty, at afternoon tea. The rim next' week will take place from Lyall Bay.
