The Ulster Press declare that provisional exclusion is impossible, the Nationalist Press say the Nationalists will not tolerate exclu* sion except provisionally. The Belfast Grand Orange Lodge has decided not to celebrate July 12, for the first timo in the history of Orangeism, so as not to embarrass the Government at this critical time ONLY ALTERNATIVE. LLOYD GEORGE'S SETTLEMENT. "If rn -n n.r, L ° ntl ?n) J™6 16. •Mr. 1. P. 0 Connor, writing in "Revnolds'a Newspaper/ Bays that Mt. Lloyd George s settlement is the only alternative to a regime of coercion ana anarchy. Martial law is not further needed. The Government should send no Chief Secretary in the event of a settlement, but a Lord-Lieutenant, as a symbol of Ireland's nationality, and as a necessary head of the executive. MR. REDMOND'S PARTY. OPPOSED TO PARTITION. (Rec. June 18, 5.5 p.m.) ' , London, June 17. The "Morning Post" says Nationalist opinion, apartfrom Mr. Redmond's Party, opposes the partition of Ulster on the old' plan. The passing of a resolution in Dublin commanding implicit obedience is no longer effective.
