VICTORIA CLUB'S - REPORT. . The annual report of the Victoria Bowling Club states that the total receipts for the year were .£407 15s. 5d., and the total expenditure .£364 Bs. Id., the debit balance being £59 14s. 3d.,- n decrease from last year's amount of <£40 Bs. Id. The mortgage on the club's property became duo in October last, and was renewed for n further term of five years at 5i per cent. Fifteen members were elected during the year, and twelve left the club, the membership now being 94. It is with regret the death of Mr. A. B. Anderson, one of the oldest members and a past president, and the sympathies of the club-have been extended to his family. Sympathies were also extended to other.niombers who have suffered bereavements during the year. On opening day <£63 was realised by the sale of a set of boivls, which were presented by the president. With the approval of His Excellency the Governor, two pianos were installed on the hospital ship Marama, and silver plates, .kindly supplied by Mrs. Keith, designating the club as the donors, were affixed to them. Further donations amounting to ill 4s. lOd. were made to approved war relief funds, and ,£2 35., collected on Anniversary Day for tournament fees, has been lodged- in the P.O. Savings Bankto form the nucleus of the club's Wir l?elief Fund. Thei directors have to report that the scheme for regulating refreshments which was approved by a general meeting of the clul) on August 23 has worked smoothly.
