The "Times" correspondent at Buchar-r est states that escapc<l Serbian and Russian prisoners declare that there is in. describable misery in Serbia. The Ans-tro-Germans seized'the stores and crops, and are shooting peasants for concealing food. There has been wholesale plundering, the principal residences in Belgrade being completely cleared o£ furniture and valuables. tary motor-cars have been seen proceeding to houses and Tieing filled with plunder. . Tho people in the country are starving and are eating grass and berries, frequently dyini» from the effects. A former Prefect of Belgrade has been compelled to sweep the streets.
