ONSLOW BOROUGH COUNCIL
At a meeting of the Onslow Borough Council last evening, the Mayor; Mr. C. Crump presided, and there were also present: Councillors H. Gardinei', J, Brenton-Eule, A. K Palmer, C bowden, W. Appleton, J. 11. Dale, L. Browne; , £ mitll ' aml A- E - Budd. A letter was received complaining of the smells caused by the boiling down works at Kanvarra. A molion, proposed I'.V the Mayor, was tarried, that the company running the works be written to asking that more measures l>e (taken to minimise the smell,* and if i|: still continued steps would be taken with the object of getting the Health Department to deal with the mater. A long discussion took place in connection with the new road proposed to U made from ICaiwarra to lvlianclallali Hvery councillor spoke 011 the question and at length a motion was moved liv pouncillor J. G. Smith! "That the' Borough Engineer be requested to inform the council as to the fee which lie would charge for reporting upou the proposed road schemc and alternatives." The motion was carried.
