NOTICE is hereby givon that at a Special Meoting of the Wellington City Council, held on the Ist day of Julie, 1916, the following resolution was passed: "The Wellington City Council hereby makes by Special Order . the following By-law under and by virtue of and in exercise of and in pursuance of the pow-r ers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and its Amendments and by the regulations made by the Governor dated 16th September, 1907, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 19th September, 1907, and under and by virtue'of and in exercise and in pursuance of all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf-." ' The Short Title of the By-law is "The Wellington City By-law ivo. 26 (Milk Control), 1916. The objects and purpose of the By-law are:— (1) To enablo the Council to control tho milk supply of the 'City. (2)' To appoint Inspectors of Milk and Dairies m the City and to prescribe their .powers and duties. (3) To provide for the taking of samples .of milk and the testing of such ,samples. (4) To provide for tho licensing of all milk employees in the City. (5) To prohibit the sale of milk in cases where the public health is likoly to be endangered by such, sale. And Notice is hereby further given that the said resolution will le submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Wellington City Council, to be held oh THURSDAY, the 29th day of June, at the Council! Chamber, Town Hall,' Cubai Street, Wellington, at 7.30 p.m., when the date on which the said By-law will come into force will be fixed. A full copy, of this By-law is deposited at the office of the Town Clerk ,to the said Council, at the Town Hall, Cuba Street, and may be inspected there by all persons during the ordinary office hours. < JNO.
