STATE LIQUOR CONTROL
BRITISH GOVERNMENT WILL BREW AND SELL BEER. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright (Sec. June 13, 11.15 p.m.) London, Juno 13. The Government, through the Liquor Control Board, has purchased all tho breweries and three hundred publichouses, in the Carlisle neighbourhood. It is intended to close ono hundred publichouses. and build several model refreshment houses. State-brewed beer will be sold in State-owned houses. It is expected that the Government's action will be repeated elsewhere.
