According to a radio message received yesterday, the Riverina is expected to arrive from Sydney at 2 p.m. to-day. Tho vessel -will berth at the Queen's Wharf No. 1 BOUth. WHAKATANE AT AUCKLAND. The C. and D. liner Whakatane, from Now York, via Panama Canal, arrived at Auckland j'esterday morning. Sho should ba at Wellington shortly.

Dinsmorc, late chief officer of the Paloona, has left that vessel, and will, it is understood, join the Monowai iu a similar capacity. Mr. Sangster,' late second officer of the Maunganui, is to take the vacant position on the Italoona. Mr. A. W".. Richardson, purser of the Takapuna, liae left that vessel, and joins tho'Mapourika. Mr. E. V. Dickey, purser of the Patecna, has transferred to the Takapuna. 'Mr. H. IT. White, chief steward of the Takapuna. has come ashore. Mr. C. Madden, assistant purser of tho Maori, has joined the Paloona in a similar capacity. Mr. A. BapßCtt, late second officer of the .Koffulus, has signed on the Kennedy as chief. Captain Rutlie, chief officer of the Alexander, has resigned from the Anchor Company's service. The C. and D. liner Indralema is in port to-day from southern' ports. Amongst the cargo put out at Napier ! on Friday by the Westralia frere the two i sets of new engines- for the auxiliary scow Echo. Tho Uch6 had been anchored in the Kaiwarra Bight for many months. A few weeks back, however,' she was purchased by the Richardson Company, and left Wellington for Napier. As eoon as 'her engines are installed the Echo will 1 commence running in the Napier-Waivoa 1 tracb. Prom southern ports, - the .Tohn is expected to arrive at the end of the week. She will go on to Wanganui on Monday next. The Waitomo is expected to leave Westport this morning for Wellington. She should show up to-morrow. The Ivamo left for Grcyinouth last night to load coal again for this port. With a part cargo of dairy produce the Corinna is due in from New Plymouth to-day. . The Kittawa left Grcyinouth yesterday afternoon for Wellington. The Kurow will not now bo here from Lyttclton until to-morrow morning. She is Ho proceed north in the evening. Due hero this morning from the south, the Monowai has 320 tons to discharge before leaving for northern ports this evening. Th£ Union Company announce that cargo will bo received until noon only. ' The Marine Department advise that the wreck of the Southern Isles, which wao floating about to the danger of navigation, has been towed into Nelson by the small steamer Ivoi, which wa-s dispatched for that purpose on Saturday. The Athenic left Auckland, yesterday afternoon for Wellington. Sho is due here to-morrow.
