Baron Sakatoni, the Japanese delegate, says that Japan; by participating in tho conference, desires to prove her solidarity with the Allies. Britain's ■ influence at the conference will be preponderant, and Japan hones that Britain will forget her old Free-trade principles in order to reconcile her interests with those of her Allies.
