BjsTelegraph-Press Association-Coiprriglit (Rec, June 11, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, Juno 11. From tho figures available up to Saturday at midnight, when the count stopped, six o'clock closing appears to have.established an unassailable mortgage on the victory. The city and suburban counts are practioally pomplete. In the majority of the country' districts tlio count is incomplete, but the balance of them substantially favour six o'clock. , The latest totals show that .303,878 primary votes were east for 6ix o'clock, 158,079 for nine o'clock, the other four hours, seven o'ciock to eleven o'clock in-. elusive, 27,453 votes. This gives six o'clock a .majority of 117,740 over all other combined votes. The -weather was. fine, for the referendum, and tho'polling was heavy. Tho, campaign was largely wanting in the usual humorous- elements of a political fight, both sides being dead in earnest,, and working strenuously. • As anticipated, the .women'polled very strongly, though the. Alliance leaders declare that they failed to come up to expectations. They claim that the result is largely a patriotic men's vote.. Tho secretary of the Liquor Defence Union refuses to admit that the vote is a fair indication of public opinion, as it was taken under abnormal conditions,' and at a time of: hysteria. THE LATEST FIGURES. CLEAR MAJORITY OF 127,361. (Rec. Juoie 12, 0.2 a a.m.) Sydney, June 11. The latest figures show that 325,121 votes were cast for G o'clock, and 168,102 for 9 o'clock.
