The identity of the man wlho was drowned from the Tarawera as ffo.it vessel was leaving the wharf for tine north on Thursday night has not yet been established. A probable clue, however, waa discovered last night. A man .named Thomas Maslen, of Taranaki Stwsst, reported to the police last evening that lio suspected the missing man to lira ,his brother-in-law, David Carroll, who lesft liis (Mnslon's) residence on Thursday night to catch the Tarawera for Gisborne. • Mr. Harold Boaucliamp (chairman of the Bank of New Zealand Directorate) mentioned at yesterday's meeting of j>roprietors of tho Bank, that ho was leaving shortly for America. On behalf of the shareholders Dr. C. Prendetfg'ast Knight wished Mr. Boaucliamp a good holiday, a pleasant voyage,, and a safe return.
