All Italian communique states:—"A battle is raging on the wholo front uon the Sottecommuni (Asiago) Plateau. T bitter struggle all night long on the sixth ended in the defeat of the enemy assaulting column. Next day tho enemy resumed tho attack on our centre and right'wing, with dense masses, and was soveral times hurled back with enormous losses." AUSTRIAN COMMUNIQUE. (Rec. June 9, 9 p.m.) Amsterdam, June 8. An Austrian communique says:—"We progressed on the Asiago Plateau and took Montemelettii' by storm. "Since June 1 we took prisoners 12,400 Italians."
