HONEY CROP PROSPECTS
The Director of the Horticulture Division has received from the Apiary Instructors the following reports concerning honey" crop prospects:— Auckland.—Local markets remain unchanged. A large consignment of honey has been received at the grading store for export, but owing to shortage of boats only about half has been shipped. Wellington.—Crops have been harvest-' ed. The season has been nil average one. Prices are firm and the bulk has been disposed of.
Christchurch.—Honey in bulk Is very scarce in Canterbury, and good prices lire offered for choice honey in Christchurch. Sections have been practically unprocurable all the .season. One or two. small lines for export have been graded at Lyttelton.
-Dunedin.—The market price is firm. Supplies are short for local requirements. A few lines of pat honey Have come forward and sold readily. Bulk honey is fiuoted at 53d.; sections, Bs. to 9s. per dozen; pat honey,*7d. to Bd. Beeswax is scarce, and commands up to Is. Cd. per. lb. for good,, clean lines.
