There is a. strike of • watersiders at the Bluff, where the Remuera is'loading 25,000 carcasses of mutton and 4000 cases uf cheeso, and discharges GSO tons. The men' worked fourteen hours on Friday and then knocked off. As there was perishablo cargo wanting shipping the company put on a night shift from the •crew at award rates, and the watersiders did not resume. The Bluff cool stores are congested with cheese, and the deadlock continues. MEN RESUME WOKE. Invercargill, Juno 5. The men who occasioned the trouble oh the ltemuera at the Bluff on Saturday have resumed work unconditionally. It is considered that the ship oannot now sail until 'Wednesday night at the earliest. It is understood that the Inspector of Awards is inquiring into the matter.
