T „ „ London, June 2. In the House of Commons Mr. H J Tennant, Under-Secretary for War stat. Ed that when the Military Service Act was in full working order every man would havo the job for which he was best fitted. It was not possible to draw upon the population of India for the creation of soldiers. The difficulty waa a question largely of officers; it was almost impossible to send officers from Eng. land to take charge of Indian troops. A difficulty applied to Africa. If Colonel Churchill read the foreign Press, lie would see that the Germans were pleased at the idea of Britain resorting to coloured troops as it was considered a;i indication that wo were near the end of our tether.
