THE WEEKLY REPORT OF THE DEPARTMENT.

Tlie following progress statement of the work of tho Discharged Soldiers' Infor-mation-Department has been furnished by the; Minister in Charge (tlio Hbni A. L, Hordman): — (1) Total number of men ou rogister*.— (a) Disposed of, 2518; (b) under action, 1094; (c) not ready for action (including men returned by recent transports), 1001: total 4616.

(2) 'Reports received' from' interviewing officers, 3083; reports-in'-hands of interviewing! officeis,';3SßV;rcports.' issued; 3121. (3) Particulars showing liou* cases dealt with i—(A) Cases disposed'of!
