DEPOT FOR DRESSING PORK
At the Farmers' Conference in Levin oil Wednesday, Mr. Saunders, of Shannon, moved:—"That the Wellington City Council be . urged to establish a depot for dressing pork.". Mr. Leigh Hunt, of Wellington, addressed tho - delegates in favour of this proposal. He said there were some people, including bacon factories, that would be well suited if the selling, of pigs as at present were prohibited. Unless something was done to alter the present conditions in' Wellington they would find the City Council doing away with the present system .of sales by auction.'. The motion was carricd.
