ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
COMMITTEE MEETING,
Mr. W. iuld presided at a meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Football Association on Wednesday. The following were also present: Messrs. T. Leadbetter, H. Yoeman, » F. O'Driscoll, T. .Thompson, and A. Williluns (hon. secretary).
A letter was received from the Assistant Camp Adjutant (Captain W. M. Bell), stating that every endeavour would bo made to place two teams in the field to play against Wellington teams on Saturday afternoons, provided that no interference with training takes place. The writer stated that he had placed the matter in the hands of Corporal H. W. Scott, who would make arrangements for the formation of the teams. Mr. F. A. Mason, headmaster at Porirua School, wrote, thanking the committee for the interest which had been taken in school football this season. He stated that he would do his utmost to promote the game. Tho Town" |Clerk supplied information concerning the various grounds allotted to the association. On account of Saturday being Empiro Day, it was decided that any team which will be unable to fulfil its' engagement will, on giving satisfactory 'explanation, not be credited with having defaulted, and arrangements will be made to play the match at the end of tho season if necessary. On the motion of Mr. T. Thompson it was resolved that if any club plays a man over age the team in which he plays will forfeit all pointß scored in previous matcfies in which tho player has taken part in. ' " ' The following amended fixtures have been approved for Saturday'.? games:— Third Division —'.I'rentham B v. Swifts, at 'Kilbirnio Reserve (referee, Mr. A. Joseph); Fifth Division A—Karon' v. St. David's, at Anderson Park, ot,'l p.m. (Mr. V. Astill).
