LORD KITCHENER REPLIES TO MR, CHURCHILL.

Speaking in the Houso of Lords, Viscount Midleton drew attention to Mr. Churchill's statement in the Commons that there were 200,000 officers' servants and 50,000 grooms behind tho lines. Lord Kitchener (Secretary of State for War) said that tho servants and grooms served in the trenches, and were not considered as being behind the fighting line. He would have thought that Mr. Churchill would have thoroughly realised that fact.
