APPOINTMENTS OF OFFICERS
STAFF CHANGES
The following personal appointment to the Commiuider-in-Chief (the Governor) and appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of tho undermentioned officers of the New Zealand Staff Corps and Territorial Force have been approved: Personal appointment to tho Governor, Commander-in-Chief-Colonel, tho Hon. William Edward Collins, M.8., M.L.C., New Zealand Medical Corps, to be hon. surgeon. Staff. Captain Frank Hudson, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes his appointment as asistant military secretary and A.D.C. to the Commandant (temporary) for tho period during ijie absence from the Dominion of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, and proceeds on active service. Lieut. Douglas Bryan, N.Z. Staff Corps, returned from active service, is appointed assistant military secretary and A.D.C. ho the Commandant, vice Captain Hudson. Sergt.-Majoi (M.0.) George A. Gibbs, 11.A.M.C., is granted honorary rank of lieutenant iind quartermaster, and attached to tho N.Z. Staff Corp9 while employed with the New Zealaud Military Forces. K-egiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery. Master Gunner (W. 0.) Thos. Farquharsou, to be hon. lieutenant. Manawatu Mounted Rifles. Sergt. A. C. Nathan, to be 2nd lieutenant. . Wellington East doast Mounted Rifles. Cyril N. B. Williams, to be lieuteuant (temporary), vice Lieut. Wilder. N.Z. Field Artillerj. Sergt.-Major P. C. Hunt, to bo 2nd lieutenant on probation, H Battery, supernumerary to the establishment. N.Z. Garrison Artillery. Edward Francis Richards-oil, to be 2nd lieutenant (temporary), Wellington Division, vice Lieut. Tomlii, with the Expeditionary Force. Canterbury Regiment. Lieut. E. H. Stacpole Batcholor is struck off the strength of the Expeditionary Force and absorbed into the establishment and transferred to the Reserve of Officers. -. Auckland Regiment. J. H.. Stewart, to be 2nd lieutenant, vice Lieut. Ivil, with the Expeditionary Force. Wellington' West Coast Regiment. Lieut. William P. Aldridge is struck oft' the strength of the Expeditionary Force and absorbed into the establishment. Hawke's Bay Regiment. Second Lieut. James M'liae, to be lieutenant. North Canterbury and W'estland Regt. The appointment of 2nd lieut. (on probation) oi il. Davison is confirmed. Motor-Car Corps. AVellington: J. T. Midwood,. to bo 2nd lieutenant (on probation). Auckland: Lieut. Vincent Holbeche resigns his commission. N.Z. Medical Corps. Captain W. Little is granted tho temporary rank of major while employed.with the Expeditionary Ft-rce. Captain Edward William Sharman. _is granted the temporary rank of major whilo with tho Expeditionary Foroe. Captain D. U. Macphcrson is struck off the strength of the Expeditionary Force, and absorbed into tJw-- establishment, and given permission to retain his rank aud wear the prescribed uniform. Captain William M'Ar.i is struck off the strength of the Expeditionary Force, and absorbed.

Hayes to. be captain for war ser vice while holding appointment as superintendent ol' a hospital in New Zealand. ' N.Z. Chaplains Department. The Rev. J. A.
