Mr. J, E. Kaye, manager of tho Union Brewery at Kalgoorlie, met with a serious accident eany on May i. Mr. Kaye was ou a visit to the city, and was staying at tho Perth Club. At about 2 a.m., while walking in his sleep, ho fell from the balcony of tho club to tho ground, a distance of fully 30ft. He was taken to tho Valesco Private Hospital, where it was found that he had received serious injuries. Mr. Knye's escape from fatal injury was most remarkable. "Born in Constantinople, the son of a Turk, I am a registered enomy alien, but my brother, born in Malta, is a British subject and soldier," said' a man in a London Court.
