CADET COMPETITION

The various sections of No, 31 Com. paiiy, •Wellington, City Senior Cadets, held an winter-section competition at the .Drill Hall, Bucklo Street, on Monday. Considerable interest was taken in tho contest, thero being upwards of 200 spectators (including Brigadier-General Robin, general officer commanding tho forces) present. The competition was for a cup presented by Major Sinim for the section securing the most points in physical drill, rifle; drill, and squad drill. Tho result was a win- for No. 2 Section, instructed by . Sergt. Keid, No. 1 Section being second, No. 4 ; Section third, and No. a Section fourth. • A trophy cup presented by Mrs,. Eenkin for attendance and fall-ing-in wns won by No. 1 Section, under Sergt. Philp. General Robin heartily congratulated tho winners of tho section competition, and also the runners-up on their excellent performance.
