The, mine manager of the Hauraki Reefs reports, under, date May 19, as follows:— Stoping has been in hand over the No. 3 level during the past week, and some good crushing djrt was obtained from which a little picked stone was saved. Good country, and a' likely-looking reef continues in the No. 3 face. In the Wynyardton workings the winze is down 24ft., and tlie prospeots continue most favourable. The face going east on this reef iri now opening up well, and about 111b. good picked stone was. Eaved from good general dirt. We cleaned up at the' battery last Tuesday for a return of 4620z. melted- gold, valued at about £1400, ohtained from 50 toils general dirt, and also 1501b. picked stone.
