CAMP NOTES
The following temporary appointments have been approved by the Camp Commandant at Featherston - Shoeing-smith Corpl. J. M'Lennan, 16th M.R., to be farrier-sergeant. Corpl. T. .T. Foster, A Company, 15th, to be lance-sergeant. Pte. E. G. Hill, Headquarters Hospital Records, to be sergeant, while acting as records clerk. The following temporary appointments have been approved by the Camp Commandant at Trentham:— Army Pay D. W. Taylor, to be pay-sergeant; Pte. C. Columb, to bo pay-sergeant. G Company, 13th Reinforcements— Corpl. F. J. Allen, to.be sergeant. The P.M.O's cup for the best-kept hut at Trentham Camp for the week ended May 20, was won by G Company, 16th. Reinforcements. The rest-of the 16th Reinforcements were equal for second place. The Camp Commandant at Trentham acknowledge with thanks the following gifts for the hospital Soldiers* Comforts Society, 1 case apples and 1 case lemons; Mrs. R. S. Cunliffe, Petone, parcel of books.
DANCE AT THE SOLDIERS' CLUB. •STe president of the Soldiers' Club (Mrs. Massey) and the committee extend a cordial invitation to men of the 13tn Reinforcements to attend a dance which has fceon arranged for them to-morrow Wiling. _______
