Colonel Myers has resigned his command at Walton, and is now in charge of the New Zealand Medical Department in England. A new hospital of a thousand beds i 8 being established under Dr. Parkes. ' TThe Defence Minister ■ (the Hon. Jas. Allen), when aslted about the subject matter of the above cable message last night, said that he knew little or nothing of the proposed changes. Tie original proposal was that tie New Zealand main base was to remain'in Egypt, and that there should be a supplemental base'in England. This arrangement appeared to havo.been altered.! ..
