' (■ PETONE RAILWAY UNIT.
At last evening's parade of the Hutt - ffijone Railway Section of the National Reserve, a deputation consisting of Messrs. Andersen, Smith, Bond, and Rodger, and representing tho Petone Unit, asked if arrangements could be made by tyaich. tho hall might be used for drill puipos&s by both oiuits 011 the same evening. Mr. Anderson pointed nut that with the advent of tho Saturday half-holiday and the consequent late Friday night tho the Petone Unit had been anected, and the platoon had decided to change its night. Finding, however, that the only other available night in the week on which tne hall could bo obtained was lucsday. they decided to ask tho-Railway .Unit to allow them the use of the hall on that night. ——/After considering the matter, LieutenSimons stated on behalf of the Railway Section that the request could not be granted, adding that the platoon considered the hall at present none too largo to carry out its own particular drill.
