HUTT NO-LICENSE LEAGUE.
At'a special meeiing of the Hutt NoLicense League, held at Petone last evening, at whioh the Bev. A..Bruce Todd pre-' sided, Mr. 0. Silberry was elected seuretary, vice Mr. H. .Grinstoa'd (who is leav. ing the district). The chairman and Mr. Grin stead were appointed delegates to represent the League at a conference to be held at Paimcrstou shortly. During the evening the Bev. Bruce Todd, on liehalf of the League, presented Mr. Grrinstead with a fountain pen, and ill the course of a few appropriate remarks, referred to the good work accomplished l>y the late secretary, and the sorrow that was felt in l losing iliis services. Refreshments wero provided by the local branch of the W.C.T.U.
