OFF TO FRANCE.
NEW ZEALANDERS IN GOOD HEART, Mr. -TV. H. George, of Georgo and Kersley, who has been visiting Egypt in the interests of the Y.M.C.A., was one of the few civilians who witnessed the departure of the New Zealand troops i'r< in Port Said for, Prance. Mr. George si ctes that the troops ■ were entrained in open trucks at Ismailia (on the Canal), and in the greatest spirits made the four hems', journey to Port Said, where they embarked oil the transports.
"You can tell our people," said Mr. George, "that the boys were in great heart at the prospect of going to t'ninse, and were as merry as it was possible to imagine any body of troops to bo. 'I'ltey were in splendid fettlo after their spoil in the Canal zone."
Mr. George was able to get a i.nmber of capital snapshots of the New Zealaridera as they were et.trainod at Ismailio.
