, SUMMARY AND FORECASTAT 4 P.M..YESTERDAY. Present indications aro for westerly winds, increasing strong to gale, especially in and southward of Cook Strait. Squally . and changeablo weather is probable on the East Coast districts, but unsettled and cloudy, with rain probable soon, elsewhere. Barometer fallinj lor a.prolonged westerly storm, which now appears to be develooing in intensity. Northerly and westerly winds have prevailed with increasing force for a westerly disturbance now enveloping the Dominion. Atmospheric pressure is low in the south. D. 0. BATISS.
