The total number for May is G5, and the local Recruiting Committee -is endeavouring to secure 100 by •the.end of the month. Mr. H. J. Palmer, proprietor of the Empire Hotel, Petone, has enlisted and [.passed the medical test. Binoculars and .Wristlet Watches for soldiers may be .obtained, at a discount of 15 per cent.
