ROLL OF HONOUR. '.Clio anniversary of tlie Trinity CTiurch, Niiwtown, was celebrated yesterday by fifpcial sermons preached.by the itev. .b. llirake, the newly-appointea pastor; and .special. singing by me choir. The congregations were large, and in •connection with, the evening" service adjutage was taken of the opportunity to> lumveil a Koll of Honour containing tho j'aames of young, men of the Church who i.bad enlisted with the Forces. On the uccasion of celebrating the Sunday _ School anniversary recently, tho j musical part of the service was conductLed by a young man in khaki, and yesterday tho King's uniform was conspicuous on the "platform and in the congregation. ' A few of the names to be included on the church roll are:—Chaplain Luxford, who, in the faithful discharge of his duties, lost bis leg at Gallipoli; and his nephew, Harry. Petitt, for many years a member of tho Church, who took a prominent part in : promoting several of its institutions, and who recently won distinction for bravery and devotion to duty on board the torpedoed Marquette; members of the Green family, the head ofwhich_ has long been trustee of the church; Lieut. Fathers, who for years was a membor of the Mutual Improve--ment Society connected with the church; one or more members of tho Danks family, well known and honoured in Methodism, and many other names are regarded as well worthy of recognition. For ( the present tho roll is limited to the namesof men who yjere members of the Trinity Church, and have enlisted since tho war started. They are: Messrs. C. Breen, il. Mewton, A. il. Parker, H. Gamon, A. C. Beaumont, S. 0. Jones, C. W. Jackson, J. W. Buchanan, H. S. Sauiiderson, F. Wiseman, R. R. Hornblow, C. Hancocks, J. .Heyes, F. C. Eyres, W. E. Crewes, A. 'Mewton, M. Cacton, and E. F.,Hunter. The. anniversary, social will be held on Wednesday evening next.
