Newspapers art giving prominence to the great advance, horojogically speaking, which lias been uiadsiih bed time to-night. The only parallel is tho Act'of '1751, correcting the calendar. The Chief Rabbi- has ordered ■ tho Sabbath to come in'an hour later on Friday and go out an hour later on Saturday, though the Sabbath morning service will be held at the same 'time as previously. Newspapers appeal to shoppers not to shop later, thus depriving the overworked assistants or the benefit of-the Act. The Government has arranged for the Royal Parks to be open an hour longer. [The daylight saving operated as from! tho morning of May 21.]
