ALCOCK'S TOURNAMENT. | 'An enthusiastic number of spectators were treated to a very good display of billiards in tho match between Kell, (owe ■SO) and Jacobson (owe 50), which was tho chief attraction' at Alcock's tournament. Kell started off with a nice break of 30, and ■ followed it up with another of 20. Jacobson, however, was not dismayed, and promptly compiled an excellent 30, and continued, by careful play, to advanes his score, and when about 230 he had a lend of 50 points. Kell then settled down and by really good billiards finally rat out a winner, by 20 odd points.. Tho othei games were: Chant (rec. 25) beat Barkei free. 75); Billman (rec. 30) beat Loaigmori (rec. 30). . ' The best breaks were: Kell, 30. 28. 21 25, 29? Jacobson, 22, 21, 31, 22, 42; Bill, man, 32, 3i); Longmore, 22, 30. Play will be resumed on Monday evening, the players being Green v. Isaac, Goldie v. Tucker, Tindall y. Porter. Loasby v. Reade.; ' .'
