HUNS' BRUTAL THREATS
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Paris, May 17. The "Bulletin <les Armoes" has published a notice which: has been placarded in Germany in the prisoner of lvar camps. It states that all work allotted to prisoners will be enforced, even if connected with war operations. Refusal to work will bo punished by deprivation of food, by having tho sleeping accommodation exposed to the wind or placed, in rooms heated to 1-10. Fahrenheit: tho men wouild also .be beaten with the butt of a rifle or with a bayonet. Many British, French, Russian, and Belgian prisoners wero forced by tike threats to work in war factories. The French Government threatens retaliation. Tho Hague, May 17. British and other soldiers at Sclineidomuchl aro compelled to work on farms' and in mines,' chiefly in East Prussia and Poland. Many have been deprived of letters and food parcels, rhich aTe not' deliverable owing to the absence of addressees.
