At the Magistrate's Court at i'airlie, two men, named liarker and 'Ward, with aliases, were, committal for trial on thvoo charges of burglary at Riirlic yn the night of.April !i9. The evidence snowed Unit they, blew open the safes at the Varmers' Co-operative Store and tho railway station and stole over .£2OO in money, awl also stole jewellery valued at i'SD from a shop. . Much of tho plunder was recovered from- the swags found -when the men were arrested near the Orari Railway Station on May 5.- Among tho money stolen from the O.F.C.A. several '£p notes, of which the numbers had been' recorded, wire recovered.
