RESIGNS CANADIAN LABOUR : LEADERSHIP. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright Ottawa, May ig. Arising out of a dispute over the teaching of French in the schools in Ontario, Sir Wilfrid Laurier has resigned the leadership of the Literal Party, which lvas divided upon the issue, the Western Liberals objecting to bilingualism in Canada. . It is not anticipated that Sir W, Laurier will lie allowed to retire from the party, however.
