SUMMARY AND FORECAST AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. ' Ufesont indications are for moderate to strong south-easterly to north-easterly winds northward of Cook Strait and freshening easterly to northerly winds elsewhere. Expect cool and fair to cloudy weather generally, but dull and overcast at times in tho extreme north end south. The .barometer Is unsteady, and will probably fall everywhere after abont 24 hours for a disturbance likely to pass in the south at tho end of the week. Cold and lair weather has prevailed, but showers have fallen on the East Coast districts- of the North Island.
