ROSENEATH RATEPAYERS

MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Roseneath Ratepayers' Association was held last evening. A communication was received from the City Council in regard to the milk supply question. It was resolved to support the council in its efforts to obtain a clearing house for Wellington City. It was also decided to ask the City Council to consider the question of the distribution of milk. The Town Clerk wrote stating that it had been decided to survey the road between Point Jerningham and Little Karaka' Bay with a view to obtaining an Order-in-Council to have it widened. It was stated that the nccessnry authority had been granted to erect a bathing shed in Ballena Bay. Satisfaction was expresed by members with the progress made with the construction of the wall round Oriental Bay. The association hoped that the City Council would have the rocks in the bay at the foot of Hay Street surrounded by a concrete wall, so that a band rotunda and accommodation for the public could bo provided. A resolution was passed asking the City Council to sneed up the work of widening Grafton Road. •
