V PROSPECTS FOR THE WEEK., The prospects for this week in thtt Houso depend almost altogether on the duration of the debate on the Address-in-Roply. The debate has up till now showed very little of vigour, or interest, and the general opinion of members on Friday was that it would profoably finish on Tuesday night. After the debate ends the Compulsion Bill, which is to have the same title as the English measure—the Military Service Bill—will be brought - down. The measure is one of which the Defence Minister should be in charge, and it, is practically certain that it will be Mr. Alien's task to get the Bill through the House. After the Military Service Bill, the Financial Statement, which, it is understood, is ready for dc- • lively, will be presented by Sir Joseph Ward. %
