» / ■ ■ DISTRICTS' POINTS OP iltlUT. ■, £"here were largo attendances at the Patriotic Apple Show in tho Town Hall on Saturday afternoon and , evening, when many people who had only become aware of the excellence of tho show attended to be awakened to the wonders that are being accomplished in New Zealand by our' orchardists. Apart from the .intrinsic value of the show from the orchardists' standpoint tho affair had a specticular interest, for the rare beauty of the exhibits provided a dazzling colour-scheme, which had its own peculiar- charms to those whose lives do not run between rows of apple trees. i./f u 7 ind -»P, to the show, the fruit that had not already been disposed of was sold at auction, and realised good prices.
