MIRAMAR BOROUGH
MEETING'OF THE COUNCIL. The Mayor (.Mr. I\ Townsend) presided nt the fortnightly meeting of the Miranmr | Borough Council last evening. The, following were also present:—Councillors S M. Stone, S. 11. Underwood, anil W. 11. Grsen. I Tho Chief Postmaster wrote stating that t»io subsidy lor- the conveyance of lettercarriers and telegraph messages and of mails Oil the Hiramar Borough tramline had been increased from ,£IG 10s. to .£■lo per aniiuni as from Juno 1. Mr. Norton Taylor was granted tho frco use of the Town Hall for the purpose of holding a benefit entertainment.
