FOR RETURNED SOLDIERS

HANMER. SANATORIUM TO BE OPENED SHORTLY. The Hon. G. W. Russell reports that the new sanatorium at Hanmer for returned wounded and invalided soldiers is so far advancod that it would be ready to receive the I'urnituro next week. He expected that tho institution would be ready for opening in about four or five weeks. There would be no delay, and as soon as the sanatorium was ready for occupation it would be opened. The name of 1 tho institution would not be announced until the opening ceremony.

The sanatorium has been erected 011 tbe same lines as the King George V institution at Rotoruo, which is already doing invaluable service in connection with the men who have been invalided from the front.
