Webb, a member of that expedition, who is now oii active service with the Australian Imperial Forces. He will also attend a meeting of civil engineers in ChristchuTCh.

Lieutenant Ivory, who received his ' training at Duntroon Military College, New South "Wales, and was till recently with the Artillery Reinforcements, has been appointed adjutant of the permanent canvas camp at Featherstou.

The "Gazette" announces the relinquishment by Lieut.-Col. H. E. Pilkington of the duties of Adjutant-General in' order to join the Expeditionary Forces in the field, and the appointment of Col.' R. W. Tate as Adjutant-General. Lieut.-' Colonel J. E. Hume, in command of th< Auckland military district, succeeds Colonel Tate in command of the Wellington district, and Colonel G. W. S. Patterson, Coast Defence Commander in Auckland; takes over the command of the Auckf land district.
