In propusing the toast of honour ;\t a dinner which was given to the visiting delegates from the Duma, the Prime Minister, Mr. Asquith, said that the most gratifying result of the armed alliance was the complete Auglo-ltussian agreement on Eastern affairs. The enemy's efforts to weaken the Allies' confidenco in each other was only a clumsy and blundering attempt.
